Devilish.

The other day I commented a friends picture on facebook, mentioning that the fact that my eyes always go red in photos could possibly be atrributed to the fact that I am probably a spawn of the devil.

Yesterday when I checked my flickr account (shameless plug may be found here.), I had 666 views (I’m only new :D).

Today, I had to do temp checks at work, and the pie I checked sat at 66.6 degrees celcius.

Eep. Little things like this freak me out a teensy bit.

Making up for Lost time

The summer is a very easy time to accomplish very little, which is why I like to give myself summer goals. They help me stay in line for the three months I’m home. My favorite goal that I set for myself was to watch all four seasons of Lost. I’m halfway done. I only have one month left to watch the third and fourth seasons! If I don’t really buckle down and devote all of my energy to Lost, I’m going to be very disappointed in myself.

Same goal, almost the same progress. A few seasons left in the second season. As for accomplishing very little, we have survived most of the summer on a mysterious and dangerous island without having to leave the comfort of the couch. Also, i have stopped telling people about this conquest because it is always followed by “Oh Cool! are you at the part where…” and if i don’t stay on my toes i might be subjected to a dirty spoiler. So far so good, i am intrigued, confused, and excited.

Same goal also. I’ve finished Season 3, waiting for a downloaded (shhh) copy of season 4, seeing as it’s not available to rent/buy over here yet. It’s ana amazing show, but I have the feeling having to wait a whole week in between episodes would have likely killed me.

I was going through some footage of Kim’s 18th.. the last video I took ends with me yelling “shots!” at jordan (aka the joker). Sorta gives you a good idea at how the night went after that.

_________ _______________ is now in a relationship.

Can’t pretend I wasn’t diasppointed.

Did you hear? Kim and I broke up. A revelation that came to us last night.. we’re like the female Dutch and Eddie. Except that everywhere they go, even if they drive together, they both stay sober. Kim and I, everywhere we go (even if we drive together), we both get drunk.

I love this photo so much - this is Scott, Me, and Brooke, climbing the massive dinosaur in Yorktown. Brooke never made it up. haha.
From the very fun time we had in Vincent. Love these people.

  • Kim: can we keep an excitement index?
  • Me: totally.
  • Me: it can go before the hilarity forecast
  • Me: how much do you love awkward rap?!?!
  • Kim: i know hey!
  • Kim: its hilarious!
  • Me: i love amir soooooo much
  • Me: can i marry him yet?
  • Me: please?
  • Kim: no
  • Kim: need to meet him first
  • Kim: although.
  • Kim: i'm so totally maid of honour
  • Me: deal.

CollegeHumour have a great history creating music videos.. from Brohemian Rhapsody (I still can’t listen to the original song without hearing the CollegeHumour lyrics), to FUPA, and now, Awkward Rap.

I really enjoyed Awkward Rap, it sounded like a real song, and there was some awesome acting involved.

I just want to say, that I much prefer the CH video’s that the CH staff star in, rather than, say, FUPA, which featured people that I didn’t recognise. It’s amazing to see the incredible skills of the people at CH/CV put to such an amazing use :)

Weird.. the colour is so much more intense in my original copy. The copy that is showed on my tumblr is so dull, much less vibrant. Much less interesting.
Inspired by thatguyben, I used wordle to create this. The only difference is he used his dashboard, I just used the first page of my tumblr.
Wordle is a cool little toy, and I’ve heard about it via my dashboard.. just never got around to using it until now.

“Power strips are used on a daily basis in most homes as a means of ‘transporting’ energy to the products we use every day. The ‘Power-Aware Cord’ is a re-designed electrical power strip in which the cord is designed to visualize the energy rather than hiding it. The current use of electricity is represented through glowing pulses, flow, and intensity of light. Expressing the presence of energy through light can inspire people to explore and reflect upon the energy consumption of electrical devices in their home.” (from here)

I know this would help me remember to turn things off at the power. This is an incredible idea - and I think it looks completely spectacular! So much more interesting than a regular power cord, which we’re so used to, we forget what they symbolise. Power usage, the very thing we need to cut back on.

When you cut off arterial blood to an organ, the organ dies. When you cut the flow of nature into people’s lives, their spirit dies. It’s as simple as that.

I went as Wanda from Where’s Wally to a dress up party on friday night. There was a lot of arguments as to whether the name is ‘Wanda’, ‘Wenda’, or ‘Wendy’.
Was a good night. There was also a Wally :)
And can I mention, I love my mother’s photography skills.. *rolls eyes*

People say we look similar. Honestly, I think we look a little similar, but not OVERly.
But scarily, on Grad night, I was looking for my dad with a girl who hadn’t actually met him before. From across the room, she pointed him out. “How did you know it was my dad?” I asked.
“You two look exactly like each other”, was her answer.
